Indoor Plant Swapping

The Wall Street Journal just published and article titled: "Plant Swaps: the Cheap Way to Score Rare Houseplants" that pointed out how popular indoor plants are becoming. The article is behind a pay wall, so you will only be able to read the first part if you do not have access.  It is a great article about people meeting to trade cuttings and plants to add to their indoor plant collections.

The good news is we have our own plant swapping opportunity right here in Oakland called The Plant Exchange: They have regular events where you can buy and trade indoor and outdoor plants and potting materials.  Everything Grows regularly donates extra plants to this non-profit organization, so you might end up with a plant from our warehouse.

Happy 4th of July!

Everything Grows will be closed on Wednesday July 4th to celebrate the 4th of July Holiday.  We hope you have a great 4th of July weekend!

Below is a photo of the Croton Zanzibar -- it very much reminds us of fireworks!

Below are two other plants in the same family:

Croton Super California (above)

Crotons are very colorful plants that require good lighting to maintain their color.  If they do not get good light, the leaves will turn mostly green.

Are you in need of lush living plants to enhance your work space? Everything Grows Interior Landscaping provides indoor plant service, sales and long term rentals throughout the entire San Francisco Bay Area. We offer complimentary site visits and can accommodate almost any budget. Contact us today and one of our designers will be happy to assist you!
